Tulum Outfit Guide

The fashion in Tulum was too good.. Think LA chic meets casual beach town. To be honest, pretty much anything goes. I saw some girls completely dressed up at night with heels and tight dresses and some people wearing bathing suits and flip flops. I would say I stuck to something in between the two and it was perfect. All of the stores sold the dreamiest dresses, but I only bought one thing because the shops were pretty expensive there!

My favorite reversible Maaji suit

What to wear during the day:

– Bathing suits and coverups! I mainly wore bikinis but wear whatever you are most comfortable in (all about those high waisted bottoms currently). I would recommend wearing a one piece suit while going to the cenotes because they can be more secure to swim in/there’s less skin for the mosquitos to bite.

-Bring a cute sun hat! Looks good and offers sun protection.

-Accessories! I wore more unique accessories than I would usually wear in Miami-> lots of cool necklaces , head scarves, and body jewelry with my bathing suits.

-Sunglasses! My go to are always my Raybans

What to wear at night:

-Think of Tulum as hippy-chic. I wore a lot of long and short flowy dresses and some easy to pack 2 piece sets.

-Bring a pair of jeans and a few different tops for chilly nights.

-I brought one pair of small heels and a few pairs of flat sandals for more casual nights and beach days. Definitely make sure your shoes are comfortable because there’s a lot of walking!

-Jean jacket- perfect for when you are cold and goes with everything!

Tips:

Check the weather before you go! The first two days we went were a little chillier than others, so I’m glad I ended up bringing jeans and a light jacket.

-The main road in Tulum is made out of dirt and is very dusty, so I wouldn’t bring any super nice shoes.
